Understanding your SAT Scores

Understanding your SAT scores is crucial to gauging your readiness for college and identifying areas for improvement. The SAT consists of two main sections: Evidence-based Reading and Writing (ERW) and Math, each scored on a scale of 200–800, with a total score ranging from 400–1600. Additionally, you will receive sub scores in areas like Command of Evidence, Words in Context, and Heart of Algebra, which provide deeper insights into your strengths and weaknesses. Percentile ranks indicate how your score compares to those of other test takers, helping you understand your relative performance. Interpreting these scores correctly can guide your preparation strategy, ensure you focus on the areas that will most boost and benefit your overall performance.
