Mini Series: The Black Teacher Pipeline
The Center for Black Educator Development is at the forefront of addressing the critical shortage of Black teachers in the U.S., where only about 7% of teachers are Black, despite Black students making up around 15% of student population. This stark disparity underscores the need for more Black educators, who play a crucial role in providing culturally relevant teaching and serving as role models for students of color.
