We had the pleasure of having Ana Gloria (Martha) Rodríguez (Kumeyaay, San José de la Zorra) lead a basket weaving class at this year’s NASAI conference. She’s continuing her family tradition of passing on the knowledge and expertise of the Kumeyaay people to the next generation. By doing so, she’s fulfilling the wishes of the Elders to keep their language and culture alive and vibrant.  

We want to continue bringing expressive, meaningful, and fun activities to NASAI. If you enjoyed this class (or were not able to attend but are interested in an activity like this), let us know for next year. Leave a suggestion below:
