Conference History: A Glimpse at Our Past

The College Board annual HBCU conference started in 1989. The conference aims to assist in improving institutional effectiveness at HBCUs and provide professional development that will enable each HBCU to implement beneficial best practices on their campuses. Our hope is to further build a partnership between College Board and HBCUs that will lead to achieving institutional goals, effective policy alignment, and improved student degree completion. Visit the HBCU website to learn more.

Looking Ahead: Vision for the Future

This professional development event is specifically designed for those interested, invested, and committed to the sustainability of HBCUs. Education professionals discuss new solutions, share best practices, and collaborate with colleagues. The conference strives to enhance the livelihood, longevity, viability, and lifespan of HBCUs across the country. Each year, HBCU conference participants inspire us with their knowledge and understanding.

Let us continue the conversation here and work toward supporting HBCUs and the students they serve.
